Keramik Workshop #1 - Build your own Espresso Cup

In this short ceramics workshop, you will create your own espresso cup from clay - as a souvenir of the Leipzig Coffee Festival to take home. Using a simple construction technique, a small piece of clay is shaped into an individual vessel - with or without a handle, as a single espresso cup or for double espresso, with a small saucer if desired.

The pieces can be decorated with colored engobes during the workshop - from simple areas of color to spontaneous patterns. The finished pieces are then dried, fired and glazed transparently by the Natalia Lenzendorf porcelain studio.

After about 3-4 weeks, the cups can be collected from the porcelain studio in Leipzig. Alternatively, they can be shipped for a fee.
