Kerry King, guitarist of cult thrash metallers Slayer, who disbanded in 2019, is back after a five-year break with his solo project and the album "From Hell I Rise", which will be released on May 17. In addition to King on guitar, he is supported by top-class musicians such as Mark Osegueda (Death Angel) on the mic, bassist Kyle Sanders (ex-Hellyeah), guitarist Phil Demmel (Vio-lence, ex-Machine Head) and a colleague from the Slayer days, Paul Bostaph, on drums. Musically, Kerry wants to remain true to his heritage. Two of the songs originate from the songwriting sessions of Slayer's "Repentless" and the track "Idle Hands" already offers a taste of where the creative journey is heading.
