Thomas Gerwin is a composer, sound artist and improviser, also active in the field of "acoustic ecology" and radio art. In his Berlin studio inter art project, he composes works for concerts and performances, as well as experimental audio formats. He has been awarded various prizes and scholarships, including international ones, and his works are performed, broadcast and shown worldwide. He is the founder and artistic director of several ensembles, as well as the International Sound Art Festival Berlin (2004-2018), also 2017-2023 association chairman and artistic director of the annual intersonances of the BVNM, lecturer at the Exploratorium Berlin.
