Kiezmodel Foto-Shooting zur Fashion Revolution Week
In the organizer's words:
For this year's Fashion Revolution Week, we are setting up a photo studio in our store and photographing you in one of our garments as a neighborhood model for our webshop. This will make fashion photography more diverse and realistic: we want to show our basic clothes in our online store on people around us of different ages, sizes and styles. All without Photoshop. Just like it is in reality. Anyone can take part, no experience necessary.
All Kiezmodels will receive a fair trade shirt as a thank you. All photos will be posted on Instagram during Fashion Revolution Week under the hashtag #WhoMadeMyClothes?
Background:
This year marks the 11th anniversary of the collapse of the Rana Plaza factory. On April 24, 2013, the 8-storey Rana Plaza building, which housed several textile factories, collapsed. Cracks had already been discovered in the walls the day before. The workers were nevertheless forced to come to work. The collapse claimed the lives of 1135 people and left 2438 seriously injured. Fashion Revolution Day was created to commemorate this event and has been celebrated worldwide on April 24 since 2014. Fashion Revolution Day became Fashion Revolution Week, which this year takes place from April 15 to 24.
