The festival of young directors

KIEZSTÜRMER conquer St. Pauli!

The collaboration between the St. Pauli Theater and the Theaterakademie Hamburg has established itself as one of the most important platforms for up-and-coming directors in Germany. Initiated by Ulrich Waller in 2005, this spring's festival once again offers young directing talents the opportunity to realize their creative visions on a classic peep-box stage.

Over two days, they present productions that play with genres, deal with literary models in an unconventional way and also explore familiar stylistic devices. Always on the lookout for new forms and for what could be intelligent entertainment today - fresh, unconventional and full of creative energy.
