A musical tale of post-colonialism by and with Wangari Grace and Sven Kacirek, German-language version for children aged 8 and over

Is that fair? Not a single cocoa tree grows in Germany. And yet a bar of chocolate costs much more in Kenya than it does here. Even though cocoa grows there. And why can people with a German ID simply travel to African countries? People from African countries can only come to Germany with great difficulty.

It all has to do with colonialism. Back then, when European countries began to exploit and steal from people on the African continent for hundreds of years. Today, all that is supposed to be over. People in Europe say they have become better, that they have learned from their mistakes. But is that really true?

In order to create a fair and better world in which everyone can live happily, we need to look at how things used to be. And we need to look at what is still going wrong today. The storyteller Wangari Grace and the musician Sven Kacirek will help you with this. Together with storyteller Charity Collin, they are a kind of special team. They have traveled all over the world and met many children and adults. Anyone who has experienced them can teach their parents a thing or two!
