In the organizer's words:
With Kira Keune
In a three-day art workshop for children ages 12 and up, participants will get to know Worpswede and its artists. Together, we’ll explore what nature meant back then and what it means to us today. After a group introduction at the art museum, the Zolli in Lehe will become an artistic research space for two days.
Using Polaroids, frottages, drawings, and observations, participants will collect traces of plants, flower beds, paths, maintenance, and communal use. Drawing inspiration from the works of Worspwed artists in the Bremerhaven Art Association’s collection—which explore nature, everyday life, and people—participants will create their own artistic depictions of the park: works that not only portray the place but also explore and bring to light its role as a vibrant communal space.
