Ute Lindenbeck and Lena Düspohl: Children’s Workshop (German only)—Listening Between Times

for pairs of young and older storytellers (ages 8 and up)
My grandma grew up in a different world. She says onions tasted different back then. We want to talk about differences like that. You’re invited to participate together with someone from another generation: a grandchild, grandparent, aunt, or parent—as long as you’re in the mood to share stories with each other. Individuals are also welcome. Inspired by the Forecast artists, we’ll come up with questions and share stories: What songs do you like to sing? What was it like growing up? What were you afraid of? We’ll record the stories and experiment with sounds that fit. This will result in a short radio play that we’ll listen to together.

Workshop from 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m., group listening to the radio play at 1:30 p.m.
