King Buffalo combine driving riffs and relaxed groove. Psych, blues and stoner influences combined with thunderous bass and drums that are clearly reminiscent of the heavy rock of the 70s.

The band formed in 2013, consisting of singer and guitarist Sean McVay, bassist Dan Reynolds and drummer Scott Donaldson, and since then has 4 EPs, 5 studio albums, several live recordings and tours with Clutch, All Them Witches and Elder, among others, to their credit. The trio themselves offer a classification for their style: "Heavy Psychedelic". According to Sean McVay, their role models and influences include Rage Against the Machine, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Sabbath and Hendrix.

The stylistic fusion of these influences does not yet give the trio from upstate New York a unique selling point. The latter results above all from a certain waywardness with which King Buffalo create their very own, very compact sound structures. Perfectly balancing pressure and warmth. Without losing themselves too much in post-psychedelic clouds of sound.
