KingGizzard & The Lizard Wizard have always treated creative boundaries with the same respect that bulldozers show to anything stupid enough to get in their way.

In 24 studio albums to date, the sextet have dipped their hands into luminous acid rock daydreams(I'm In Your Mind Fuzz), dark western horse operas(Eyes Like The Sky), never-ending science fiction song cycles(Nonagon Infinity), dystopian death metal epics(Infest The Rat's Nest or , most recently, PetroDragonic Apocalypse or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation) and engagingly mellifluous jazz-folk(Sketches Of Brunswick East).

They've even invented their own musical instrument - a hybrid electric guitar that shares much of its DNA with the traditional Turkish bağlama - to explore the notes between the notes (a mission that has so far yielded three albums: Flying Microtonal Banana, K.G. and L.W.).

On May 22, 2024 , King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are coming to Hamburg for a very special concert: they will play a 3-hour marathon set in the Stadtpark : 3 hours of love without pause and without mercy.
