Ishtar, a girl full of life, leads her grandfather, the blind Bab'Aziz, to a dervish meeting through the desert that only takes place every 30 years. On their journey, they cross the paths and fates of other people. Osman, who pines for the beautiful girls he has found at the bottom of a well; Zaid, who has seduced the ravishing Nour with his singing and lost her again; or the prince, who gives up his kingdom to become a dervish.

In the style of a storyteller, director Nacer Khemir paints a portrait of the desert and its legends. The breathtaking beauty of the images, the friendliness of the protagonists and the gentleness of the desert are all part of a fairytale concept. A timeless story with mystical elements that turns a dream into reality.
