Season opening - open-air cinema at the museum shipyard
David (Jesse Eisenberg) is controlled and organized, while his cousin Benji (Kieran Culkin) is impulsive and unpredictable. After the death of their grandmother, a Holocaust survivor, the two set off for Poland to research their family history.
An expectant memorial trip quickly turns into an intense and chaotic road trip: between historical sites, family tensions and moments of black-humored situation comedy. A Real Pain combines transgenerational trauma with biting wit in a clever and touching way and shows how liberating it can be to laugh together.
