Guitarist (and clarinettist) Carsten Bethmann and sitarist Yogendra combine the harmonies of jazz with the complex rhythms and differentiated melodies of Indian music in their own compositions and new interpretations of jazz classics.
Their accompanist, tabla virtuoso Ashis Paul (Calcutta), has made a name for himself as a subtle accompanist of classical ragas in India and Europe.
