Heartfelt, passionate, mysterious - Karol Szymanowski's First Violin Concerto is considered a secret declaration of love to violinist Paul Kochanski. Lisa Batiashvili, Artist in Residence for the 2023/24 season, as a master of nuances, knows how to fully unfold the poetry and richness of tone color of this piece. Not secretly, but quite openly, Richard Strauss depicts his family life in his Symphonia domestica in an ironically humorous way, including children's screams, marital strife and loving reconciliation. The conductor of the evening is Kirill Petrenko.
