When Kitty, Daisy and Lewis Durham, three siblings from the London borough of Kentish Town, make music, they take us on a journey into the past. With their style of swing, blues, country, bluegrass and rock'n'roll, the three of them and their band will be coming to Germany for eight concerts next October to provide unforgettable concert moments and present their new album live, for which fans have had to wait nine long years. Since their self-titled debut in 2008, Kitty, Daisy [&] Lewis have skillfully shifted between the decades. Since their childhood, which was strongly influenced by music from their parents' home, their musical heroes have included Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone, Ray Charles, Sam Cooke and Rufus Thomas. The album, which - like all its successors - was recorded using equipment from the time, features numerous interpretations of their heroes' classics as well as the siblings' own productions.
