To mark the 25th anniversary of Wolfgang Peuker's death, the Stiftung Kunstforum Berliner Volksbank is honoring his artistic legacy with the exhibition Klasse in Weißensee! Wolfgang Peuker and his students. Peuker was not only an important figure in the art scene of the GDR, but as a professor at the weißensee kunsthochschule berlin, he also influenced subsequent generations of artists.

The exhibition is dedicated to the artistic legacy of the virtuoso painter, who always critically commented on current events in his paintings, and also presents four of his best-known students: Stefanie Hillich, Sibylle Prange, Philipp Schack and Christian Thoelke.

The exhibition is a collaboration between the Stiftung Kunstforum Berliner Volksbank and the weißensee kunsthochschule berlin, which celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2026.
