Our Easter concert brings together masterpieces that radiate lightness, elegance and closeness to nature. Sergei Prokofiev's "Classical Symphony" opens the evening with charm and wit. Inspired by Haydn, Prokofiev wrote a symphony that combines tradition with modernity - airy, clear and full of surprising twists and turns.
Mozart's oboe concerto in C major is a real gem of classical music. François Leleux, one of the most outstanding oboists of our time, not only conducts, but also brings the lyrical beauty and dance-like lightness of this work to life as a soloist.
Finally, Beethoven's "Pastorale" is perhaps the sound painting of nature par excellence in classical music. From peaceful country life and the babbling of a brook to thunderstorms with lightning and thunder, this symphony uses musical means to paint every possible mood in nature.
