In the organizer's words:
Norbert Aufmhof offers a musical-literary cabaret and piano program that moves between comedy, musical cabaret and political-social satire.
Aufmhof combines piano cabaret with wordplay and virtuoso piano playing with pointed, often rhymed texts that are both humorous and critical.
The repertoire includes arrangements and interpretations of Georg Kreisler, Bodo Wartke, Reinhard Mey, Herman van Veen and Udo Jürgens, among others, supplemented by his own songs and texts.
The content ranges from everyday observations on social and political issues to ironic and occasionally cynical commentaries on the present day.
The program is deliberately designed as a solo concept - piano, voice and lyrics are the focus, without any grand staging.
The evening is varied: sometimes cheerful and playful, sometimes thoughtful and sharp-tongued.
