Klein Aber Schick w/ Nid De Poule

Does it take more than two guitars, a double bass and a passionate voice to celebrate pure joie de vivre? Inspired by the gypsy swing of the Hot Club de France with its guitarist Django Reinhardt, NID DE POULE plays its own chansons, which tell of unforgettable nights on the Loire or life in the small Alsatian town of Selestat. But penguins, snails and crickets also appear in the songs, which reflect the spectrum of French music from quiet melancholy to pure joie de vivre.

NID DE POULE (the chicken's nest) has been around since 2014 and has since earned a reputation as a refreshingly unconventional chanson quartet on many festival and cabaret stages.

It's quiet - on the surface, but somewhere inside it's bubbling away. It may be cold outside, it's certainly cozy inside, it's Monday - but live music is still on.
