Supporting program for the exhibitionAt the Table. Food and drink in contemporary art
Cucina, è bello! (Cook, it's beautiful!) is an invitation to share a moment of hospitality, cook gnocchi together and reinterpret Elena Braida's grandmother's recipe. We will cook, write and eat together - in the open air on the forecourt of the Dortmunder U.
Due to limited space, please register by e-mail tokleinerfreitag@stadtdo.de. Participation in the event is free of charge.
The artist Elena Braida lives and works in Udine, northern Italy. In her work, she explores spaces associated with hospitality and the public sphere. The intergenerational transmission of cultural heritage plays an important role in this. She is the founder of STUDIO BONOMIA, with which she produces garments, screen prints and kitchen clothes that she uses in her projects. In her artistic practice, Elena works closely with local organic markets, organizes workshops and writes about culinary methods.
