Kleinraumkonzert: Mimi und RIA

The small room concert is a monthly format at the Neue Apotheke where artists from very different genres present their songs in a relaxed and personal living room atmosphere far away from the big stages.

On Friday, June 13, @mimivlr and @riasingt will be playing. Admission is at 19:30.

In 2019, Mimi won the casting show THE VOICE KIDS together with her younger sister Josy. The video of their blind audition, in which the sisters cover the Radiohead song "Creep", now has over 100 million views on YouTube. In 2022, the sisters released their first joint EP "Mamas Lullaby" under the band name HAVET.

Although the sisters enjoy making music together immensely and inspire each other, they quickly realized that they also wanted to release their own music as soloists. Together with CECELIA RIBBECK and NICK HERMANN, Mimi recorded her first EP "Ways to live forever". This was released in 2024 and was so well received by Mimi's fans that it had already been listened to over 600 thousand times by July. The three are still working on new songs, which are due to be released in the summer. On her second EP, Mimi shows that she can not only write acoustic songs but also pop songs that inspire people to sing and dance along.

RIA's music can be described as urban German pop with depth. She soaks up the stuff of life and processes everything she has experienced in her songs, which are approachable and characterized by the extremes that define her life. RIA dives deep into unknown worlds of sound and brings a piece of her deep world of thoughts to the surface with every song. What she discovers there moves between reason and complete devotion. She writes down what she cannot express - and wraps it up in melodies that give comfort and strength. That make her stronger herself. Her strong beats are the musical shield that stands in front of the often fragile lines of text and still allows every emotion to be felt.
