Klettern an der Alster 2026

Klettern an der Alster is returning to the Europa Passage with its impressive climbing wall over 16 meters high!

From June 18 to 28, 2026, beginners, advanced climbers, professionals and all climbing enthusiasts are invited to climb the wall - free of charge and without pre-registration. We also offer special school climbing for schools that have registered in advance. If you are interested in school climbing, please contact tim.laabs@faktor3sport.de to register.

A two-sided climbing wall is set up on site: The 9-meter-high side is particularly suitable for beginners, while brave and experienced climbers can try their hand at the 16-meter-high side.

We will of course provide the necessary safety equipment, climbing shoes and supervision by professional climbing experts. All you need to bring is a desire, a little courage and a lot of fun climbing.

Hamburg companies are also in climbing fever. As part of the partnership, Aurubis is organizing the Apprentice Climbing Cup on 24 June from 2-5 p.m.: young people can go climbing in search of a suitable apprenticeship and win great prizes. IKK is also taking part and will be raising awareness of the topic of health in the trades in a special way from 5 pm. At the Hamburg Craft Climbing - powered by IKK classic, tradespeople from a wide range of trades will compete against each other and use the event for networking, fitness, exercise and team building.

A special highlight also awaits at the end: on June 27 and 28, the German Youth Cup series in speed climbing, organized by the German Alpine Club, will make a stop at the Europa Passage. Experience the stars of tomorrow up close in what is probably the most spectacular discipline in competition climbing. The athletes compete against each other in a direct duel and try to conquer the 16-metre-high wall on a standardized route in the shortest possible time.

All visitors are welcome to watch free of charge - this spectacle is not to be missed.
