In the organizer's words:
Tyrol is one of Europe’s most famous climbing regions. Whether on the rock face or indoors, mountain sports shape the landscape of the Alps just as much as the history of their exploration. At the Climbing Day in the MEK garden, children, families, and adults can experience this fascination for themselves.
At the climbing tower, anyone interested can give it a try under professional guidance. No prior experience is required. The program is complemented by creative hands-on activities centered on climbing, including craft projects with climbing ropes and a puzzle of the Berliner Höhenweg in Tyrol.
The Climbing Day combines physical activity, play, and interesting facts about Tyrol’s mountain world, inviting participants to explore the exhibition’s themes in a hands-on way. Families are especially welcome!
An event in cooperation with the Berlin Section of the German Alpine Club.
