Man. Woman. Object. And now? Gaze on Balance is a production from the contemporary circus and examines gender and balance through the art of balancing objects. Josef Stiller and Kathrin Wagner use symbol-laden everyday objects to question traditional attributions of "male" and "female". Axe and feather duster change hands; a car tire is balanced together. Ideas of strength, lightness, power and control are shaken, opening up space for new interpretations.
