In the organizer's words:
Kollektiv Turmstrasse is one of the most influential German live acts in electronic music and has had a significant impact on the international house and techno scenes for years. With constant stylistic evolution and bold shifts in direction, the project stands for artistic progress and musical depth—beyond trends and stagnation. Behind Kollektiv Turmstrasse is Nico Plagemann. His music moves effortlessly between delicate breakbeats, driving house tracks, and emotional dancefloor anthems. In doing so, he continually opens up new musical horizons: influences from indie dance, techno, hip-hop, and pop flow just as naturally into his work as soul and classic house aesthetics. His sound is a crossover of everything that inspires him—warm, groovy, and unmistakable.
Kollektiv Turmstrasse was originally founded as a duo in Wismar, named after the street where they created their first tracks. With the album “Rebellion der Träumer,” the project laid an early foundation, followed by numerous releases on renowned labels such as Kompakt, Diynamic, Cocoon, Fabric, and FFFR. After Christian Hilscher left the project, Nico consistently developed it further as a solo act—not as a break, but as a natural next step.
