Kommando Pimperle - this playful name not only describes a parlor game but since April '23 also a Flensburg fun rock band that, let's say, at least wants to bring something new to the potpourri of the Flensburg music scene.

The band plays self-written German-language songs that can vary greatly in genre (rock-pop-punk-funk-blues etc.) as well as in seriousness. The members Mathis (guitar), Birk (bass) and Vicky (drums + piano) sing the songs they have written and otherwise support each other with backing vocals. Back in April, Mathis represented the band, which was just forming at the time, as the opening act at the Hafenspitze Easter bonfire. He and Birk have been making music together for over 10 years and have already had two bands together; some of their old songs made it into the repertoire of the current band, the rest are new. Vicky, clearly the youngest of the trio, is in no way inferior to the other two with her wide-ranging drumming skills. Having fun playing and playing together is the most important thing for the three of them. Kommando Pimperle present music to be surprised by, to sway and sing along to, political, apolitical, happy and difficult moments. Come and let them play with you!
