Jacques is the owner of a small wine shop. Over the years, he has become an oddball, cultivating a more intimate relationship with his wines than with other people. This changes one day when the somewhat unworldly Hortense enters his store.
She is looking for a wine to enjoy with the homeless. Events come to a head shortly afterwards when the young petty criminal Steve storms into the store, closely followed by the police. Hortense asks Jacques (Ulrich Gebauer) to give the boy a chance and provide him with an internship in his wine shop as part of a rehabilitation project. Jacques has the feeling that he can't refuse this woman who has fallen out of time, even if in the end the prospect of free labor seems to be the decisive argument.
Ivan Calbérac's warm-hearted comedy with witty dialog and precisely measured moments of suspense was awarded the Prix Molière for best comedy in 2019.
