Konfliktzone is the discussion series at Schauspiel Dortmund that brings science, art and politics on stage - directly into the heated questions of our present: Where does my freedom end, where does yours begin? How free are the media, science and art really? In the midst of social tensions, this format offers space for friction - open, controversial and always respectful. Here, well-founded positions meet curiosity and contradiction. Guests such as Felix Lobrecht, Michel Friedman, Madita Oeming and Alena Buyx have shown how complex these debates can be - and how important it is to hold them in public.

From the 25|26 season, Anna Dushime - Grimme Prize winner, journalist, podcaster and editorial director at Browser Ballett- will take over the moderation. She is one of the most exciting voices of a new generation of journalists, combining political acuity with a flair for pop culture. Dushime provides impetus where it hurts and talks about structural racism, media power and feminism - but also about memes, rap and digital self-staging. Her view of society is broad, critical and close to the issues of our time.

She grew up in North Rhine-Westphalia and began her journalistic career at BuzzFeed and ResearchGate before publishing as a columnist for the taz and with articles for Zeit Online and Edition F. As a presenter, she can be heard in the podcast Notaufnahme (Doctors Without Borders) and in the talk series Der letzte Drink mit Anna Dushime, for which she was awarded the Grimme Prize Special in 2024.

In recent years, she has appeared on major stages, for example as a host at re:publica, as a talk guest on Maischberger and in political formats such as Streit und Zuversicht. Her first book will be published by KiWi-Verlag in 2025.
