Her Majesty King Henry's royal carriage comes clattering into the Christmas market with great fanfare. At last, the princely carriage can be admired once again by the common folk, who actually only wanted to gather at the mulled wine stall. But no one can resist the king's gifts: Her Majesty has ordered a red-nosed reindeer to be sacrificed so that the people of Gelsenkirchen can then have all their good wishes fulfilled. Unfortunately, something goes wrong during the pompous demonstration of power and instead of the reindeer, Santa Claus is unceremoniously sawn in half. It's a good thing a magician is on hand to fix the situation. So in the end - maybe - all wishes will come true after all!

The "Klimper-Karre" arrives at the Christmas market on Heinrich-König-Platz fresh from the MiR.LAB's "stattWerkSTADT". A wooden cart was built here over the Advent period, sketches were rehearsed and magic tricks practiced. On two pre-Christmas evenings, the Klimper cart with the confused king travels through the Christmas market and invites visitors to join him and think about what they really want for Christmas in Gelsenkirchen.
