“Game of Thrones”? It already existed 2,500 years ago! A battle for the throne, betrayal, murder, incest, drugs, intrigue, and a legendary monster—the ancient Greeks certainly knew how to create great entertainment.
Bodo Wartke transforms Sophocles’ famous tragedy into a fast-paced, eloquent stage spectacle: two actors, 14 roles, and plenty of energy. Claudius Bruns and Armin Zarbock throw themselves headfirst into the chaos of fate with incredible enthusiasm.
Antiquity meets hip-hop, tragedy meets comedy—and there’s probably never been so much laughter at *Oedipus Rex*.
