British Youth Orchestras Visit Königswinter

Concerts by British youth orchestras have long been a staple of Königswinter’s summer event calendar, transforming the Old Town into a lively open-air stage every year.

The series kicks off with a concert by the King’s School on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. on the market square in Königswinter’s Old Town.

The 45 young musicians from Hove in southern England combine musical versatility with a great enthusiasm for live music. Many of them play multiple instruments and also take the stage as singers. For some, the trip to Germany is already their second international concert tour; for others, it is their first performance outside of school.

Under the direction of Jo Brennan and Rebecca Woods, the orchestra will present a varied program featuring music from pop, rock, and musicals.

Free admission.

Unfortunately, the event cannot take place in case of bad weather.
