The Leipzig singer/songwriter S.C.Roth has been playing under the band name JULIA MONTEZ since 1998. Sensitively - sometimes loud, sometimes quiet - accompanied by an excellent backing band and complemented by graceful background vocals.

On the current album "CounterParts" (Motor), as on all Julia Montez studio albums and in the powerful live performance, there is a wonderful mixture of electro-folk (with amplified acoustic elements) and psych-rock (which tempts you to take off to unimagined heights). Time and again, the musicians know how to carry their audience away, encourage them to sing or simply put on a great show. This is not just pure concert atmosphere - there is also room for thoughtful moments.
It is the sheer beauty of the performance that leaves hardly any time to look for negative points.
