In the organizer's words:
Composer and guitarist Thomas MacMillan hails from the remote Pennine region in northern England and has been an integral part of Berlin’s independent music scene since 2018. In addition to his work with his alternative rock project Carnivalesque and his collaboration with art-rock artist Kat Koan, he composes and performs music for solo guitar.
Inspired by video game composers such as Akira Yamaoka and Nobuo Uematsu, as well as the niche genre of fogcore, his music explores themes such as liminal spaces, analog horror, and nostalgia. The result is a soundscape that feels both comforting and subtly unsettling.
