Konzert: Steve JeeWee´s Taxi Oriental

In the organizer's words:

"The engine drums and the tires sing their song. Sometimes the track is so rough that your chair dances with you ....
But then - after the long bend, the asphalt whispers and the landscapes float by....
The passenger leans back and enjoys the passage..."
This or something similar is the music that plays in JeeWee's cab when the radio is on and multi-colored landscapes float by.
For his "Taxi Oriental", Frankfurt guitarist Steve JeeWee pulls out all the stops.....when he simultaneously (and rarely simultaneously!) fires up two guitar amps.
With various drums & pedals, he steers beats, loops & sounds through the cosmos of world music.............. He orchestrates his guitar playing and prefers to spice it up with oriental flavors.
Some milestones from rock, pop, jazz etc. get a surprising twist with a different spice... His own compositions are unexpectedly playful and strangely beautiful. (JeeWee about JeeWee)
The brew in the tank is full of ingredients from R&B, TwoStep, Electro, Progressive Rock, also Space-& Krautrock and above all Worldmusic...
JeeWee travels solo or takes musical friends along for the ride. At Club Voltaire he will be accompanied by percussionist Rami Ziemann and Zaki Gammour from (Zakshotlefunk) on guitar.
