AIdan Baker is a workhorse. According to the internet, he has released around 250 records during his long career. He plays a variety of exciting genres such as space rock, shoegaze, ambient, drone, post-rock, dark jazz and noise. But he is not averse to the folk genre either. This time he is visiting us together with the slow core band Tavare. Slow Core is characterized above all by calm tones, beautiful melodies and a high degree of emotion. Simple, repetitive themes lull the listener to sleep. You get caught up in a gentle maelstrom and can be drawn into the beauty of the accompanying vocals. In the end, you find yourself in a fog of sweet melancholy and forget time and space. Tavare know their craft. Their skill can be heard very clearly on their recently released debut album "To Small To Be So High", which they recorded in one go before a gig at the Genezarethkirche in Berlin Neukölln. The result is simply breathtaking. The natural reverb of the church enhances the cozy atmosphere of the songs enormously and captivates the listeners until the last note has escaped from the speakers. Then the sun rises and smiles spread across faces. So come in large numbers and don't miss out on this musical experience! A must for fans of Low, Codeine, Red House Painters, Bedhead.

Tonflation will prepare us for the Tavare gig with their fine neo-classical compositions. There was a special magic during my first concert. The audience sat quiet as mice on the floor and listened to the fine melodies. A gentle humming and booming accompanied the very pleasant sounds of the electric piano, which floated through the air as light as a feather. Meanwhile, bottles of drinks were uncorked at the bar with silenced bottle openers and no one said a word. Nowhere else can you experience French-language instrumental songs with such sublime grandeur. A great band! We don't affectionately call Tonflation's music Piano Crust for nothing.
