The ninth symphony by the great symphonist Ludwig van Beethoven not only leads from gloomy dissonance to festive cheer, but also from the old year to the new year in many places around the world! In Chemnitz, too, the grandiose orchestral sounds and the impressive sung words of the ode "To Joy" once again invite us to reflect on the essentials at the turn of the year: Joie de vivre, gratitude and a hope that cannot be extinguished even in the most difficult times.
