The "Sonntagsfrauen " invite you to the opening of their annual exhibition "Kopfarbeit" at Ulme35. The show presents the diverse and exciting results of the group's work from the past year and offers an insight into their wide range of techniques.

Since their foundation in 2017, the "Sonntagsfrauen" have been meeting once a month in the Ulme35 studio to work creatively together, learn from each other and experiment with different techniques and materials under the guidance of Sibylle Reinshagen and Elzbieta Latacz. The Sundays are dedicated to art, exchange and joint design.

From drawing to 3D objects

The "Kopfarbeit " exhibition is the result of intensive creative exploration of the subject of the "head". The title reflects the intellectual and manual work that goes into each work. Visitors can expect a high-contrast ensemble of examples of artistic exploration of the theme of the "head" using various media:

-Sculptural: heads made of papier-mâché and 3D objects made of wire and stone
- Graphic & painterly: works in collage, drawing and painting
- Printmaking: Interpretations in linocut

The exhibition will be complemented from 19:30 by an atmospheric concert by the "Gechter Guitar Group" feat. Leyla D. The six-piece band, based in Berlin, dedicates itself to sophisticated, groovy soul, blues, funk and jazz pieces from a total of 60 years of music history. Songs especially for bars and clubs to listen to, but also to dance to real live music.

The line-up consists of the fantastic lead singer Leyla D. as well as two electric guitarists, an electric bass player, a conga and other percussion players, drums and backing vocals. You can expect a concert to enjoy, but also to dance to. The outstanding virtuosity of the instrumentalists and the excellent vocals of Leyla D. make the evening an unforgettable experience.
