Kostantis Pistiolis is a genius. The clarinettist and singer comes from Konitsa, Ioannina. He has worked with many renowned musicians such as Thanasis Papakonstantinou, Giannis Charoulis,
Villagers of Ioannina City, Chainides or Matoula Zamani.
With a loop station and his expressive vocal style, he transfers the sounds of yesterday to today and takes listeners on lively encounters with musical traditions.
With the help of the loop station and accompanied by a wide range of wind, string and percussion instruments, Pistiolis presents a diverse program of sound cultures from Asia Minor, Thrace, Macedonia and Epirus. In combination with his vocal performance, the sounds condense into an experimental sound mix that effortlessly builds bridges between past and present and also knows how to fascinate younger generations with traditional music.
