Creative Summer Vacation Week and Summer Festival at the Freiburg Queer Youth Center

Who is it for?

For young queer and questioning people ages 13–21 and their friends

When?

Tuesday, September 8 – Friday, September 11, 2026,

10 a.m.–4 p.m. each day, with a lunch break and group cooking sessions

On Friday to wrap things up: A small summer party from 4–6 p.m.!

For young queer and questioning people ages 13–21, their friends, and adult caregivers.

Where?

At Haslacher Str. 41 and 43, 79115 Freiburg; entrance in the courtyard

All workshops take place in wheelchair-accessible rooms. There is a wheelchair-accessible, barrier-free restroom.
Unfortunately, the open hangout (chill space) and the kitchen are not readily accessible by wheelchair.

What?

The following workshops will be offered over the four days:

• Tuesday through Friday: Theater (Biographical and Dance)

• Tuesday and Wednesday: Drag (makeup, performance)

• Thursday: Screen printing and textile design

• Friday morning: WenDo (feminist self-assertion and self-defense) for FLINTA* (women, lesbians, inter*, nonbinary, trans*, and agender) people
   

The Open House will be open as a chill space at the same time every day.

Registration forms for the workshops are available until September 1 during the Open Meet-up hours at the QJZ and at the TINA* Meet-up on August 14, or upon request by email at info@qjz-freiburg.de
