Illustrator and set designer Sarah Maus (German Youth Literature Prize 2025) often encounters beliefs like these - and they are almost always based on misunderstandings about what creativity really is. Fear of making mistakes, perfectionism and inner judgments often block an ability that we all possess: the ability to develop and shape ideas and translate them into images.

The good news:
Creativity can be trained. It is not an innate talent, but a muscle that can grow if it is used, challenged and encouraged.

In this two-day workshop, participants will learn how to discover and strengthen their own creative mindset and use it in a targeted way for image and stage. Sarah Maus will teach participants how to keep a sketchbook in a practical way, how to train creative thinking and how to consciously shape composition, visual language and narrative power in illustration and scenic space.

This workshop is open to everyone - without prior knowledge.
Recommended for adults aged 16 and over.

Please bring along: Drawing materials, notebook/sketchbook or loose sketch paper.

Szene 10 invites you to an intensive series of workshops - for those interested in acting, budding stage people and curious explorers of their own expression. In three thematically focused weekends, we dive deep into the art of acting, improvisation and voice. The workshops can be booked individually - or as a complete package at a discounted price.

Participation fees
Individual workshop: €200 (€100 per day, 7 hours each)
Workshop pass for all five weekends: €1000 (instead of €1200)
