When Hans Arp was dissatisfied with one of his paintings in 1917, he tore it up in anger and threw the pieces on the floor. However, he was so enthusiastic about the result that he stuck the pieces back on exactly as they had fallen.

Gerhard Richter also often lets chance prevail in his paintings: He uses random processes or computer algorithms to determine the color tone and sequence in his works.

Bernard Schultze, on the other hand, puts himself in a daydream-like state and allows his subconscious to guide him. He constantly turns the canvas to allow structures to emerge as if by themselves.

Following in the footsteps of modern and contemporary artists, we dare to experiment ourselves: with wax, soap bubbles, threads and cans, we produce random creations that can be expanded with pens and paints. We get to know frottage, collage and stain pictures and let ourselves be surprised by chance.
