A crime trail is an interactive outdoor experience where you become an investigator yourself: instead of just ticking off landmarks, you follow a captivating story, collect clues at real locations, check alibis and combine information until you track down the culprit - all at your own pace and with complete flexibility.
In Detmold, a case awaits that entangles the charming half-timbered town on the Teutoburg Forest in a web of secrets and symbolism. A renowned visiting professor, Mariu Leyva Barragán, is found lifeless one morning by the Werre - the police assume that she was killed by someone else. A mysterious rose symbol on her arm raises questions: Was it a warning? Is it connected to an upcoming scholarship procedure at the music academy? Or is there more to it - perhaps her partner or a local YouTuber with wild conspiracy theories? Your task is to follow these clues and shed light on the darkness.
Your search for clues takes you from the gloomy starting point on the Werre into the historic city center. You will discover places such as the Schloßplatz square with the imposing Residenzschloss palace and Adolfstraße with its typical half-timbered houses, before you have to take a closer look in winding corners such as Anna-Maria-Tintelnot-Twete. The Palaisgarten, the Konzerthaus and the city library are also on your route - places that seem harmless but could be part of a much bigger puzzle.
On the Detmold Crime Trail - "The Conspiracy of the Rose", you take charge of the investigation and decide for yourself which clues to follow up first. You stay connected to the operations center via the investigation chat and receive further details about the course of the crime as you progress.
