🔍 F reiburg crime scene - the dead man in the water
A crime trail is an interactive outdoor experience where you become an investigator yourself. Equipped with a smartphone and digital investigation file, you follow an exciting story, collect clues at real locations, check alibis and combine evidence. You set the pace and sequence yourself - just like an outdoor escape game, only with a real city backdrop and much more atmosphere.
In Freiburg, it all starts with a scandal: an explosive newspaper article uncovers a company's questionable environmental practices and causes great unrest in the city. Shortly afterwards, the body of Omar Boukari, an employee of the very company at the center of the scandal, is found on the banks of the Dreisam. An accident? A cover-up? Or murder to bury inconvenient truths? Freiburg is in turmoil - and the investigation is only just beginning.
Now it's up to you to bring light into the darkness. You follow leads, evaluate witness statements and put the pieces of the puzzle together. You stay in contact with the operations center via the investigation chat, receiving new information and tasks as soon as you make progress - or support if you reach a dead end.
Your search for clues takes you through Freiburg-Wiehre, one of the city's most charming districts. Along the Dreisam, which is otherwise considered an idyllic recreational area, you investigate the location where the body was found. The route continues up to the Lorettoberg, from where new perspectives open up - of the city as well as the case. Between Wilhelminian-style villas, green avenues and quiet paths, a story unfolds in which nothing is as harmless as it first appears.
