A crime trail is an interactive city tour where you become part of an ongoing investigation. Instead of just strolling through the city, you take on the role of a team of investigators, follow a coherent crime story and collect clues at real locations. With your smartphone and digital investigation file, you decide independently which leads to follow up, combine statements and clues and get closer to the truth step by step - outside, flexibly and in the middle of life.
In Hanover, your investigation begins with an action that causes a stir: a sculpture on Theodor-Lessing-Platz is painted completely black overnight. A plaque with the message "Coal in the museum" appears next to the artwork. Vandalism? A political statement? Or part of a larger plan? The police narrow down the period of the crime and identify five people who may have had access to the scene. But motives, alibis and connections remain unclear.
On the Hanover Crime Trail - "Raven-black affair", you take on precisely these investigations. You examine statements, question motives and have to decide which clues to follow first. You stay in contact with the operations center via the investigation chat, receive new information and are constantly faced with decisions that influence the direction of your investigation. Not every lead is clear-cut, some statements contradict each other - and this is where your forensic intuition is required.
Your investigations will take you through central locations in the city center. From Theodor-Lessing-Platz, the trail continues through Maschpark, which offers a view of the New Town Hall. The market hall, a traditional meeting place, will also be part of your search for clues. On the market square and the historic Ballhofplatz, the clues become more concentrated, while you gain new perspectives on the case along the River Leine.
The Hanover Crime Trail combines exciting puzzle fun with city exploration and teamwork. Whether with a friend, partner or colleague - this case demands your attention, your logical thinking and your ability to recognize connections - and at the same time you will discover a new side to Hanover.
