A crime trail is an interactive mixture of city exploration and criminal case. You move through real neighborhoods in the city while following an exciting story. Using your smartphone and digital investigation file, you collect clues, check statements and combine evidence. You determine the pace and sequence yourself - outside, flexibly and in the middle of the city action.
In Karlsruhe, the crime trail takes you to the historic district of Durlach, where the death of artist Alex Weigand raises many questions. What exactly happened? The artist was found dead just a few weeks before the opening of his first art exhibition. A shock for those close to him - and a mystery for the police. The evidence is thin on the ground and the crime scene offers hardly any clues. Only one thing is clear: Alex did not lead a conflict-free life. Now it's up to you! As a team of investigators, it's your job to untangle the web of relationships, emotions and possible motives. Who had a real motive? Who is telling the truth - and who is hiding crucial details? You collect statements, check alibis and gradually put the pieces of the puzzle together until a picture emerges. But be careful: not every clue leads in the right direction, and some truths only become apparent at second glance.
Your investigations will take you through Durlach, the oldest district of Karlsruhe. The trail starts at the city wall and leads you through the winding alleyways of the old town. You pass the Saumarkt, the market square and the Schlossplatz with Durlach Castle. A detour to the palace gardens offers space to take a deep breath before continuing on to Weiherhof and along the historic moat. These places form the backdrop to your investigation - quiet, charming and full of details that could be decisive.
In between, cafés and restaurants invite you to take short breaks: perfect for sorting out clues and discussing new theories.
Whether you embark on the investigation alone or in a team - this crime trail will show you a new, mysterious side to the city.
