A crime trail is an interactive city and nature experience where you become a team of investigators: Using a smartphone and digital investigation file, you collect clues at real locations, combine statements and puzzle pieces and uncover what really happened step by step - flexibly and at your own pace.
Your story begins in Potsdam with an inexplicable disappearance. Alexander Farber disappears without a trace - on the very evening that his daughter Juliane announces her engagement to the family. Farber just wanted to get some fresh air. But he never returns. No news, no sign of life, no trace. Was he the victim of a crime? Has he gone into hiding? Or is there more to his disappearance than initially assumed?
The deeper you delve into the case, the more complex the picture becomes. Several people close to Alexander become the focus of the investigation: Juliane's fiancé, whose relationship with his future father-in-law was strained. A real estate agent who apparently had a strong interest in a particular property. And an old acquaintance who suddenly reappears. A mysterious real estate exposé raises additional questions - coincidence or crucial clue?
On the Potsdam Crime Trail - "Swallowed up by the Holy Lake", you take on the investigation yourself. You question witnesses, check alibis, weigh motives against each other and have to decide time and again which lead you trust. You stay connected to the operations center via the investigation chat and receive new information that may call your previous assumptions into question. Not every statement is credible, not every lead leads to the goal - and some twists and turns will force you to rethink.
The investigation takes you around the Holy Lake and through the New Garden* - an idyllic setting that stands in stark contrast to the uncertainty of the case.
