Travemünde Crime Trail: Death Sets Sail ⛵
A mysterious death on the Baltic Sea and five suspects on land
On the Travemünde Crime Trail, you’ll swap a leisurely coastal stroll for real detective work. Using your smartphone, you’ll make your way through Travemünde, collect clues, solve puzzles, and work together to crack a criminal case. You decide when to start and how fast to go—so there’s definitely time for a break with a view of the sea.
The case begins on the Baltic Sea: Not far from the Nordermole, a passing boat spots Hannes Fischer’s sailboat. The owner is found dead on deck. But what happened? Was it murder or suicide? The more thorough the investigation becomes, the more questions arise. Five people from Hannes’s circle come under scrutiny—and almost all of them seem to have things they’d rather not talk about…
Now it’s your turn to take over the investigation. You’ll interview the suspects, scrutinize their statements, verify alibis, and try to uncover contradictions. Travemünde will be your investigative territory. Amid the cries of seagulls and the sound of the sea along the beach promenade, passing ships on the Trave promenade, and the brick and half-timbered houses in the historic city center, you’ll piece together the information that brings you closer to the truth, bit by bit. The maritime setting fits the case quite well—after all, it all began on a sailboat.
So: Pack your smartphone, round up your team of investigators, and keep your eyes open.
