Slow Club Freiburg presents: KÆRY ANN + DEATH OF A CHEERLEADER

KÆRY ANN

Rooted in the essence of the psych and dark folk of her debut, Kæry Ann expands her artistic journey with doom and stoner influences, exploring denser, darker and more haunting soundscapes. Her music moves in the field of introspection, where emotions take shape through dreamlike and symbolic images.

Her debut album Songs of Grace and Ruin was released in 2023 on the Berlin label Anomic Records. The release was well received by radio stations and music magazines and was praised by Cvlt Nation, Post-Punk, Visions and Rumore, among others. Two of their tracks were also selected for the soundtrack of the US film Birth/Rebirth, which was nominated for the Sundance Film Festival, and for the Italian crime series Brennero.

DEATH OF A CHEERLEADER

Winterthur-based band Death Of A Cheerleader are firmly established in the alternative music scene. Their unmistakable blend of dark rock, wave, post-punk, heavy metal and doom captivates audiences and makes intense, emotional expression the hallmark of their art.
