In the organizer's words:

What does April 4, 2006, when Mehmet Kubaşık was shot dead by Uwe Mundlos and Uwe Böhnhardt in his kiosk in the north of Dortmund, have to do with our current society?

The performance "Protocols of Speechlessness" aims to create a space for remembrance and debate. Because all too quickly, the many victims of right-wing extremist violence have disappeared from the news and the public's memories.

The play is about the Kubaşık family, who lived in fear from Mehmet's death until 2011, when the NSU was uncovered. It also tells the personal stories and experiences of women who have left the far-right scene.

The mix of theater, movement and interviews creates a multi-layered picture of the female perspective on right-wing extremist violence and its social consequences - a search for answers and a voice for the victims in a theatrical prayer for the dead.
