In the organizer's words:

In May 2026, Münster is the destination of a group of architects and urban planners who meet every year in a particular city or region to draw and paint in the tradition of the "urban sketchers" and present the results immediately afterwards in an exhibition. The participants are interested in intensively seeing and
and perceiving already existing urban spaces and structures, retracing them
with the means of drawing and painting. The special thing about this
The special thing is that this activity always expresses a personal and individual view of the urban living space. The pictures are created spontaneously within a few days directly in the urban space. Even then, there is always a dialog with passers-by and citizens, an exchange that continues throughout the exhibition.

The "Sculpture Projects", which have taken place every ten years since 1977, have left their mark on Münster's public space. These traces also become - almost incidentally - motifs for the drawing architects and thus already point to the next edition of the "Skulptur Projekte" in 2027.
